In this class Shaykh Alī al-Wasīfī (حفظه الله) discussed the issue regarding Palestine.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) legislated supplication upon the believers (the Muslims). It is from the greatest of actions of worship.
The servant seeks nearness to Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) through supplication.
The dire need of all the creation of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
No creature except that they need Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) constantly in every shape and form.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) is the All Sufficient the Forbearing.
From the wisdom of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى), testing the people with sickness (for example) so the people would be asking Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) for a cure / to be cured.
From the wisdom of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى), testing the believers by having their enemies attacking and the likes so believers will ask Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) for victory.
From the wisdom of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى), He will test the believers with poverty, to they will ask Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) to suffice them.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) pre-decrees ALL the calamities, the evils, the testing, and the examination.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) is the creator of everything (good and evil) and bestows upon whomever He wills and chooses to afflict with whoever He wills.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) created good, so people would thank Him for the good that they are enjoying from Him (سبحانه وتعالى), but also Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) created the evil for great wisdom that ONLY Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) knows.
Shaykh Alī al-Wasīfī (حفظه الله) said “From some of those wisdoms, some actions of worship are only practiced by the believers due to the existence of evil, oppression, calamity, disaster, and the likes.”
Explanation of why during times of good, people would not be asking from Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) with some actions of worship, such as supplication.
A rhetorical question? Why did Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) allow the enemies of Islām have the upper hand to oppress the Muslims, whoever the enemy is.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) decrees for such a calamity to happen to the Muslims due to the sins the Muslim falls into, and due to the evil that they are doing themselves.
Any calamity does not happen except due to some form of a sin whether that sin is committed by a Muslim OR a non-Muslim.
The matter regarding the calamity (or examination) that Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) afflicts the believers with to raise them in degrees.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) mentions about the best of mankind, The Prophets and the Messengers and how lying upon them is more severe than killing them.
The explanation regarding the āyāt, “And there were Messengers before you O Muḥammad that were belied upon and harmed, due to the patience Our victory came to them eventually.”
Prophets and Messengers were tested with calamity due to their great status with Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
There is calamity that comes upon the believers, to cleanse them from their sins.
There is calamity that happens to the believers, in the form of testing, examination from Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
The Prophets suffered from their own people, as Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) decreed for them to be tested. Their own people not believing in them, or by their own enemies belying upon them.
All the Prophets and Messengers were patient upon the harm or calamity they were afflicted with. Some in this life were decreed to be killed.
See now the station of the Prophets and Messengers and how patient they were upon the lies and the harm!
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) told us that the Prophets suffered so much from the followers, and some followers gave up hope in the Mercy of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
The explanation regarding the āyāt, “Until the Messengers and the Prophets gave up hope and thought that they would never be believed...” Meaning did not giving up hope physically, but in one moment of time – meaning when they were hoping for the victory of Allah, they gave up as they were not given victory in a particular stage in the Prophethood. “…and then Our victory came to them.”
The explanation of the ḥadīth from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) who said that “Our Lord is amazed with the hopelessness of His servant and the nearness of His ease.” Meaning the ease from Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) promised us, that nothing will ever happen to us, that is hard upon us except that ease will be followed.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qu’rān, “He knows that your ease is close or near.” – ‘He’ is meaning Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
The explanation of the āyāt where Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) said, “He brings down the rain after they gave up hope and then He spreads His Mercy upon the people.” - ‘He’ is meaning Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
Only Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) takes care of His servant. He is the Walī of His servant. There is the ‘general form’ and the ‘specific form.’
General form - Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) provides for all His creation altogether.
Specific form - Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) increase upon the believers and causes the barakah to happen, through His Mercy and Gentleness (only for the believers.
The Muslims all over the world may suffer from harm in one shape or form: not just in Palestine, but also in Myanmar, Burma, China, Yemen, and other places. This is a test from Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) that only happens by the decree of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
The explanation of the origin of calamity and affliction. ‘From what the hands of the human being has done in harm or evil or sin.’
The matter regarding the believers learning sabr (patience), it may be the only form of worship they have.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) will afflict the believers with all kinds of calamities, and the believers are patient upon that so much so, that Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) will raise them in degrees in the Paradise. Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) mentions in the āyāt, “Angels will enter them from every door.” Telling them “Peace upon you.”
Reality? Nobody will try to gain closeness or nearness to Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) except when oppression or calamity happens to them.
The stronger the test, the stronger the affliction, the stronger the worship, the stronger the worship then the stronger the closeness and nearness to Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى), and the stronger the closeness and nearness to Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) the more of a chance that Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) answers your supplication.
When Muslims afflicted in different lands, Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) wants from Muslims to ask from Him.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) DOES NOT decree for any human being to be tested with any affliction except what that human being can bear and withstand.
A rhetorical question? And matters regarding - Why would Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) expose the Muslims to so much harm? Why is Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) tormenting the Muslims with so much oppression? Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) does NOT torment or torture the Muslim. Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) only tests them and examine them.
The matter regarding the disbelievers being tormented and tortured in this life and in the hereafter and they cannot bear what Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) has Willed for them. Unless they repent and become a Muslim.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) said in the Qur’ān, “And they say we have believed in Allāhand the day of judgement, and once they are harmed, they made the testing or affliction equal to the torment of Allāh.” [to the end of the āyāt].
The matter regarding those who commit suicide – thinking they cannot bear what they see in this life. This will not be a comfort for the disbeliever.
The matter regarding afflictions in this life. Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) gave the (Muslim) believer from the knowledge and the patience and the fore bearing where he/she can handle that affliction whilst alive.
The matter regarding the Muslims being exposed to a destructive enemy that they cannot face they cannot face that enemy with stones and rocks.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) has legislated 2 affairs regarding the above situation:
When the Muslim is weak, to be patient and call upon your Lord.
When the Muslim is strong, then Allāh legislates for you to face your enemy.
The matter and explanation regarding the weakness of the Muslims, Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) said “Establish the ṣalāh and give the zakat and whatever you do for yourself of good you will find it later with Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).”[to the end of the āyāt]. This āyāt in Ṣūrah Baqarah was revealed regarding the Muslims in a situation of weakness.
There is NO harm upon you in times of weakness to leave off going in battles against the enemies of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
The matter regarding the legislated affairs from Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى). There are 3 affairs of which one of them is to have a treaty with the disbelievers.
Question? Are the Muslims in Palestine in our present day and time weak or strong? Are they able to face the Jews all by themselves or in reality they are actually against the whole world?
Reality! The Jews (Zionist) are only a representative of the world masonic order, whose purpose is to destroy all the Muslims including the Arabs.
The whole world with whatever technology they have are behind the ‘free masons.’
The financial institutions of the world and international politics are with the Zionist.
The Muslims in Palestine have only the stones and the rocks, therefore this battle is not appropriate at the time, and cannot be one in any shape or form.
The matter regarding the turn of the tide - The ease and the success from Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) is near.
We as Muslims MUST BE upon the Sharī’ah and jurisprudence of Prophet Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)to aid the religion of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) until Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) gives us victory and aids us against HIS enemy and OUR enemy.
The explanation and meaning of the āyāt in the Qu’rān“And your Lord Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) will aid or give victory to whoever he/she is aiding Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).”
No matter how strong the Jews may become, or how much money they have, they are still humiliated in their hearts. In contrast the believers are always honoured by Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) in their hearts, due to the love of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى). Even if the whole earth does not belong to the believers, and belong to the disbelievers, know that the disbelievers WILL BE conquered by the ruling and judgements of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).
The explanation and meaning of the āyāt in the Qu’rān “And when your Lord reveal to the angels that I am with you, I will throw terror in their hearts.” – Meaning in the hearts of the disbelievers.
Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) says in the Qu’rān to the believers, “Do not become weak, and do not become sad, you are the higher ones if you are believers. As for them (the disbelievers), no matter how much they claim to be having the upper hand in this life, they are the lowliest of the low amongst the people.”
The matter regarding those who accuse the SalafīDu’āt (Salafī callers to the Sunnah) of being upon hypocrisy or weakness, by not aiding or supporting the Muslims amongst the oppressed. This is false speech, because the best you can gain closeness to Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) is the du’ā, through supplication. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) would raise his hands and call upon Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) before facing his enemies in battle. He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) would supplicate against the tribes who would come to fight them, “O Allāh I ask you to be upon the necks of the people of Quraysh.”
The matter regarding when the Khalīfah of the Muslims call upon the Muslims to join in battle, and when fighting against the disbeliever become an obligation upon the Muslim to take away the oppression.
Borders between countries are physically existing.
Reality - not just Muslims BUT the Salafī themselves are sad, calling upon Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) day and night to take away the affliction and oppression away from the Muslims, in various lands (China, Burma, Palestine, Iraq, Syria and other than that).
Statement of those, “And they were pleased to be with the Khawārij.” They can only blame nobody but themselves.
Shaykh Alī al-Wasīfī (حفظه الله) said, “Have you been giving charity for the poor amongst the Muslims?”
It is upon the believer instead of blaming others, to help with money.
We ask Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) to take this calamity away from the Muslims all over the world.
Shaykh Alī al-Wasīfī (حفظه الله) said “In Shaa Allah to continue after Ramaḍān with the matter regarding the supplications of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).”
