Bismillaah,
The lecture entailed:
That Allaah created everything with great wisdom and that Sharee'ah was sent down with wisdom as well. The Objectives of the Sharee'ah are to preserve:
1. The deen
2. Life
3. Reputation and Honour
4. Wealth
4. Intellect
as mentioned in the Aayah 151-152 of Soorah Al An'aam.
Preservation of the Deen and life were delved into however the latter three are still to be discussed.
