• Ḥadīth 189: Sahl Ibn Saʿad said, Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ ‫ said ‘The People Would Continue To Be Upon A State of Goodness Until They Hasten To Break The Fast’ (Bukhārī & Muslim).
• Benefits of Hastening To Break The Fast & Delaying The Pre-Dawn Meal
• Means To Achieve Goodness
• All Goodness Is Attained By Following The Islāmic Legislation
• Ḥadīth 190: ʿUmar ibn Khaṭṭāb said, Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ said ‘When The Night Approaches From Here (East) & The Day Turns Away From There (West), The Fasting Person Has Broken His Fast’ (Bukhārī & Muslim)
• Having Certainty The Sun Has Set Prior To Breaking The Fast
• Conditions of The Mu'addhin (The Caller of The Prayer)
• The Ādhān (The Call To Prayer) Is A Sign For The Fasting Person To Break Their Fast
• Fasting Is For A Specific Time

Chapter: The Best Fast & Other Than It

• Ḥadīth 191: ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar said, The Prophet ﷺ Forbade Al-Wisāl (fasting consecutively for 24 Hours) And His Companions said ‘Oh Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, You Fast In This Fashion.’ And He said ‘I Am Not The Same As You, Certainly I am Fed & Given Drink’ (Bukhārī & Muslim). In Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Abū Saʿ īd Al Khudrī said ‘Whoever of You Wants to Continuously Fast, Then Let Him Fast Till Sahar.’

• Ḥadīth 192: ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr said ‘The Prophet ﷺ Was Informed That I said, ‘By Allāh I Shall Fast During The Day & Stand During The Night As Long As I Live.’ And The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Are You The One Who Said This? ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr said ‘Yes, May My Mother & Father Be Ransomed For You’ The Prophet ﷺ said, “You Cannot Do This, So Fast & Break Your Fast. Sleep & Wake Up (For Prayer). And Fast 3 Days For Each Month, Surely Each Good Deed is Multiplied By 10 Times & That is Like Fasting The Entire Month’. ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr said ‘I Can Do More Than That!’ The Prophet ﷺ said ‘ Fast & Break Your Fast For 2 days’ ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr said, ‘I Can Do Better Than That’ The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Fast a Day & Break a Day, For That Is The Fast of My Brother Dāwūd & It Is The Best of Fasting’ ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr said ‘ I Can Do Better Than That’ The Prophet ﷺ said ‘ There is No Fast Better Than My Brother Dāwūd Who Would Fast For Half of The Year, Fasting One Day & Breaking His Fast The Next Day’ (Bukhārī & Muslim)
