  • Ḥadīth 184: Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh said ‘Allāh’s Messenger While Travelling On One of His Journeys Saw A Man That Was Being Shaded & He Asked What Is This? And They said ‘He Is Fasting’. Allāh’s Messenger said ‘It Is Not From Piety To Fast While Travelling’ (Bukharī & Muslim). In An Additional Wording of Muslim It Says ‘Upon You Is To Take The Concession Which Allāh Has Granted You’
    • The Permissibility To Break Fast While Travelling In The Month of Ramaḍān

  • Ḥadīth 185: Anas bin Mālik said ‘We Were Travelling With Allāh’s Messenger Some of Us Were Fasting And Some of Us Were Breaking Fast. And We Stopped To Rest And The Day Was Extremely Hot. And The Person Amongst Us That Had Most Shade Was The One Who Had A Cloth & Others Were Protecting Themselves From Sun By Placing Their Hands On Their Heads. And The Fasting Person Fell Down & The One’s Breaking Fast Stood Up, & They Pitched Up The Tents & Gave The Camels Drink. And The Allāh’s Messenger said ‘Those Breaking Fast Had Taken Away The Blessings’ (Bukharī & Muslim).

The Messenger replied ‘If Your Mother Had A Debt Would You Pay It Upon Her Behalf’. The Man said ‘Yes’. The Messenger said ‘ The Debt of Allāh Is More Deserving’ (Bukharī & Muslim). In Another Narration In Muslim ‘ A Woman Came To The Messenger And Said ‘O Messenger of Allāh ‘ My Mother Has Died & She Has Vowed To Fast. Shall I Fast On Her Behalf? The Messenger said ‘What Would You Do If Your Mother Had A Debt, Wouldn’t You Pay It On Her Behalf? She said ‘Yes’. So The Messenger said ‘Fast On Her Behalf’
