[Text of The Book]: ‘Soon As He Has Completed Both Units, He Must Sit With His Feet Spread Horizontally, In Order To Perform The Testimony [tashahhud]. He Should Place His Left Hands On His Left Thigh, & His Right Hand On His Right Thigh, Hold The Little Finger [Khinṣir] & The Ring Finger [Binṣir] In The Grip of His Hand, Join The Thumb [Ibhām]& The Middle Finger[Wusṭā] To Form A Circle, & Point Several Times With The Index Finger [Sabbāba] [of his right hand], While Saying: Greetings, Prayers & Good Deeds Are Due To Allāh. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, & The Mercy of Allāh & His Blessings ! Peace Be On Us, & On All The Righteous Servants of Allāh. I Bear Witness That There Is No God (in Truth) Expect Allāh, & I Bear Witness That Muḥammad Is His Servant & His Messenger.

This Is The Most Authentic Version of The Testimony [tashahhud] Reported On The Prophet ‫ﷺ

He must Then Go On To Say:

O Allāh, Bless Muḥammad & The Family of Muḥammad As You Have Blessed The Family of Ibrāhīm. Surely You Deserve To Be Praised & Extolled! And Bestow Your Grace Upon Muḥammad, & Upon The Family of Muḥammad As You Have Bestowed Your Grace Upon The Family of Ibrāhīm! Surely You Deserve To Be Praised & Extolled!

It Is Also Recommendable For Him To Seek Refuge From The Torment of The Grave & The Torment of Hell, From The Mischief of Life & Death,& From The Mischief of The False Messiah. He Must Then Pronounce The Salutation of Peace First To His Right & Then To His Left, By Saying:

Peace be upon you, & The Mercy of Allāh!

If The Ritual Prayers Consists of More Than Two Cycles, He Must Stand Up After The First Tashahhud. In The Same Manner As His Standing Up From The Prostration. He Must Then Perform The Remaining Units Without Reciting Anything In Them After Sūrah al-Fātiḥa

When He Sits For The Final Tashahhud He Should Adopt The Posture Called Tawarruk, By Placing His Right Leg So That His Right Foot Is In a Perpendicular Position, Spreading His Left Foot Horizontally, & Causing Both Feet To Protrude From His Right Side.He Should Only Sit This Posture In A Prayer Containing Two Tashahhuds & Only In The Last of The Two. As Soon As He Has Ended The Prayer, He Should Seek Forgiveness Three Times, & Say: O Allāh! You Are Peace, & From You Comes Peace! Blessed Are You, O Lord of Majesty & Honor!
