The greatest blessings upon the servant is that Allāh gives him divine success and guides him to do that which will draw him closer to Allāh.
Laylat al-Qadr is a blessed, honourable and noble night in which the Qurʾān was revealed.
Deeds that are performed during this night are virtuous (duʿāʾ, ṣadaqah, ṣalāh).
Allāh decrees everything that will occur in the coming year. Allāh says: فِيهَايُفْرَقُكُلُّأَمْرٍحَكِيمٍ“Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments.” (Sūrah al-Dukhān: 4)
The ḥadīth mentioned in this chapter: “A number of men from the Companions were shown Laylat al-Qadr in their dreams. The prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘I’ve seen that all of your dreams agree regarding the last seven nights so whoever is seeking Laylat al-Qadr, let him do so in the lasts ten nights.”
No one knows which night Laylat al-Qadr is.
Allāh concealed this knowledge from us just as He has concealed the knowledge of the exact hour that the duʿāʾ is accepted on Jumuʿah.
The wisdom behind concealing the night of Laylat al-Qadr is to encourage the believers to strive in seeking it in all ten nights and not just one.
One should strive to worship Allāh during the last ten odd nights of Ramaḍān.
One should strive to constantly supplicate during these blessed nights.
The duʿāʾ that the Prophet (ﷺ) taught ʿĀʾaisha to say on Laylat al-Qadr was: اللهمإنكعفوتحبالعفوفاعفوعنا(O Allāh You are One who forgives and You love forgiveness, so forgive us).
The servants should look for opportunities to give ṣadaqah in these blessed nights.
Narrated By Abū Saʾīd Al-Khudrī: Allāh‘s Messenger (ﷺ) used to make iʿtikāf in the middle ten days of Ramaḍān and once he stayed in iʿtikāf till the night of the twenty-first and it was the night in the morning of which he used to come out of his iʿtikāf. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever was in iʿtikāf with me should stay in iʿtikāf for the last ten days, for I was informed (of the date) of the Night (of Qadr) but I have been caused to forget it. I saw myself (in a dream) prostrating in mud and water in the morning of that night. So, seek it out in the last ten nights and in the odd ones of them.....”
The Prophet (ﷺ) was given knowledge of exactly which night Laylat al-Qadr was however he forgot. This shows that the Prophet (ﷺ) was a human being and he did not have knowledge of the unseen.
